Summary[edit]

Description
English: These are people in search of water, they are digging trenches for the waterpipes from a well. The women are leading even in digging trenches. The lady firsts connects the pipes outside the trench. She goes ahead to place the long pipes inside the trench and carefully puts the pipes to allow for flow of water which they seek. The woman digging trenches is odd since this is a mens job in Kenya but in Kamurugu village Muranga County Kenya, women dig trenches, buy and connect pipes to get water from the wells to their home.
