العربية: فن مصري أوشك أن يندثر والمصطلح مشتق من كلمة خيام، وهو صناعة الأقمشة الملونة التي تستخدم في عمل السرادقات، و يمتد تاريخ هذه المهنة إلى العصر الفرعوني ولكنها أصبحت أكثر ازدهاراً في العصر الإسلامي. وقد كانت ترتبط الخيامية قديماً بكسوة الكعبة المزينة بخيوط الذهب والفضة، والتي كانت تقوم مصر بتصنيعها حتى فترة ستينيات القرن الماضي وإرسالها للحجاز في موكب مهيب يعرف باسم المحمل وتتواجد هذه الحرفة في شارع الخيامية بالقرب من باب زويلة - شارع الغورية - القاهرة Igbo: Nkà ndị Ijipt nke na-achọ ịla n'iyi, okwu ahụ sitere na okwu ụlọ ntu, nke bụ imepụta akwa na-acha odo odo, nke a na-eji eme ụlọ nkwakọba ihe. n'oge Islam.
