Come to the AGM Banquet

Monday, May 12th, 2008

Agape Global Missions will be hosting a banquet at the Meadowview Conference Resort and Convention Center in Kingsport, Tennessee on June 6, 2008, beginning at 6:30 p.m.  This special fund-raiser will be to help support the children in Kenya.

At one children’s center in Gatanga Kenya, over 200 children are being fed (twice a day), clothed, and given an education.  This takes many resources.  We need your help!  Come join us for a wonderful meal and find out what you can do to help the children of Kenya, Africa and also in other nations of the world.

There will be displays at the banquet from each of the nations that AGM is working in and/or getting ready to work in, plus a special slide presentation showing some of the children in Kenya.  There will also be a display of the flags of the nations, special music, a powerpoint presentation by Dr. Larry K. Nelson, and of course, a wonderful meal prepared by Meadowview.

Seating at the banquet is limited and tickets will need to be purchased in advance.  The tickets are $50 per person, and can be purchased at the AGM home office, 1416 Bloomingdale Pike, Kingsport, TN.  Deadline for ticket purchase is June 2. For further information, you may contact us at 423-247-0200 or email us at agmglobal@charter.net .  We would love to have you join us.

Report from Bishop Simon, our AGM Partner with KCWE in Kenya

Tuesday, April 15th, 2008

Each of the following reports share with us the exciting work God is doing in our midst here since we signed ministry partnership papers with Agape Global Missions in December 2007.

  • 602 at Wema School have resumed studies and are now able to be fed on rice twice a week, taught and led to Jesus as a result of your gifts and prayers.
  • Inmates at Eldoret remand home will be able to get pastoral training materials in prison and hear about Jesus from next month through East Africa School of Ministry. We used part of the gifts to buy printing materials for training materials.
  • A people group (The Turkana tribe) in remote northern Kenya is hearing the Gospel for the first time in their life through three of Pastors that Dr. Larry K. Nelson ordained.
  • Most of the Sudanese Ministry students who graduated from EASM most of whom have gone out as pastors, missionaries and leaders in churches throughout the world. Pastor Chol is pursuing his masters degree in the USA.
  • Churches are being planted now in Ethiopia and in restricted access nations around the Great Lakes region by our former Sudanese students.
