Urgent Need: Support for Elderly Kenyan AIDS Victims

Friday, April 18th, 2008

To the northwest from Nairobi, Kenya sits a city by the name of Nakuru. In this city, Pastor Bernard Oduor watches over and cares for 67 mostly elderly AIDS victims. Several of these contracted AIDS because they were raped. During the unrest in this nation, the building where they were housed was burned to the ground, along with all of the supplies and necessities to help them. Just simple things such as water to drink or a foam pad to sit or lay on has been difficult to obtain, not to mention food, medical attention, and basic covering for the cool nights on the ground.

Immediate help is needed to aid these dear people until additional assistance can be attained. Another building to house these precious people needs to be obtained. There are facilities available for rent that are adequate for this purpose.

AGM estimates that we need to lend assistance for 12-18 months, since they are needing to basically start all over again. A vehicle is also needed, but can be hired at this time. We need to take care of the basics first. We estimate that a minimum of $500.00 a month is needed just to cover the basic needs over the period of time specified. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

May the Lord of Glory bless each one that will care for the needs of these who cannot help themselves.

Urgent Need: Sponsors for Orphans Needed

Friday, April 18th, 2008

AGM has  16 children in Kisii, Kenya that need immediate sponsorship. Even though each child has been placed under temporary care, this is very limited and puts a strain on the families they are assigned to. Our best solution is to find those that would be willing to sponsor these children for $30 per month for each child. This money will house, clothe, feed, educate, pay school fees and buy uniforms for school, and purchase limited medical supplies – all for just $30 per month per child.

AGM is blessed to have one of our finest Bishops that is personally overseeing this project there in the city of Kisii, located in the northwestern area of Kenya. His name is Bishop Kenny Kombo.

It would be great if we could find those individuals or a church group or a class that would take on this project. AGM would love to see communication take place between the children and the sponsors, and we will work to make that happen for each sponsor that desires to communicate with their sponsored child.

Thank you for your consideration of this project, and may the Grace of our Lord Jesus be upon you

Urgent Need: Once in a lifetime opportunity

Friday, April 18th, 2008

AGM Inc. is pleased to announce that for the first time in history, a group of people known as the Turkana tribe, located in remote northern Kenya, is hearing the gospel for the first time through three pastors that were ordained and sent by AGM. Our pastors have only been working among this tribe for four months, but they have found a tremendous opportunity to evangelize. We must not miss this opportunity to supply the needs of the field there.

We need support for our pastors, Bibles, pens, paper, and teaching materials, all of which can be bought in larger cities or areas there. Money is also needed to buy seed for corn, vegetables, some chickens and even a pig or so. These people do all of their buying by exchange/ bartering. We need to help them economically with just a starter kit of seed and maybe one chicken. The cost is as follows:

Support of pastors $50 each per month, $150.00 per month

Bibles, teaching materials, 50.00 per month

Other items, 350.00 per month

TOTAL NEEDED $550.00 per month

There are enough people already born again to need a church building, but it’s not necessary since we are using other facilities at this time. It is estimated that a building will be necessary by January 2009, at an approximate cost of $6,000. This will include some minor equipment.

Thank you for your consideration of this project. May the Lord bless all that you put your hands unto.
